Insights & Outsights from a Guy Trying to Follow Jesus

Freeman, Freedom, and Wedgies

Recently Carolyn and I took Laura Marie to see a hip hop dance group at The Freeman Stage in Bishopville.  She really got into it!  One of the neatest parts was when they did a song about Martin Luther King’s Jr.’s dream of an integrated nation where children of different races play together.  During that song, Laura Marie was dancing happily with a little black girl about her age.  It was as neat as it was adorable.

Incidentally, Laura Marie taught the girl to do a highly stylized dance that she invented.  She calls it “the wedgie dance.”
