Our third core commitment that we make as members of CrossWay Church is that we will love people by serving them.
When I make this commitment, I live it out in several ways:
- I discover the gifts and abilities that God has given me.
- I discover the specific passions that God has given me.
- I learn how to use my gifts, abilities, and passions to help other people.
- I help people out of love for them and to glorify God.
- I give sacrificially of my time, money, energy, and other resources to help people.
- I participate in church-wide activities to serve people, such as fulfilling a service role on Sunday mornings and participating in outreach events.
- I pray for God to meet the specific needs of particular people.
- I watch for spontaneous opportunities to help people.
