I’ll never be one to fight for the rights of tobacco companies, but if this is upheld in court, our capitalist democracy is officially over.

We have those in Australia and the Government is now working to introduce plain packaging so that cigarettes don’t look appealing at all.
If nothing the anti-cigarette message is working here. It’s much less common for people to smoke and teens are much less likely to take it up.
I’m a fan.
I’m pretty sure we’re still a capitalist democracy.
Haha…you’d know better than me! Like I said, I’m not one to take up the fight for tobacco companies, but since the government hasn’t actually outlawed cigarettes, it seems pretty messed up–in fact illegal–to require them to put those images on there. I remember a few years ago when Carolyn and I were in England, and they had to put messages like SMOKING WILL MAKE YOU DIE or something like that in big bold letters on their cigarette packs. Pretty funny. So yeah, it’s worth it if it saves lives. Still not sure about the capitalist democracy though. 🙂 (We’re actually a democratic republic anyway. Minor detail.)
