Starting on Thursday, January 21, I’m leading a small group here in North Ocean Pines. I’m excited about getting to know our group members better! Small groups have been such an important part of my journey with Jesus and always will be.
If you’re not familiar with what a small group is, it’s a group of about six to 15 people that get together regularly (usually every week) to talk about what’s going on in our lives, support and encourage one another, pray with and for each other, read the Bible together and explore ways we can apply it today, and serve together. It’s not just a Bible study, it’s not just a fellowship group, it’s not just a prayer group…. It’s a small group.
By the way, once a group gets to about 15 people, that doesn’t mean no one else is welcome. It means it’s time to multiply and start a new group!
Our small group will meet on Thursday nights from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. in Ocean Pines. The group is geared toward parents who have children at Showell Elementary (everyone is welcome though!), so feel free to bring your kids with you. There’s a nearby room for them to play in, and they’ll enjoy getting to know each other better just as their parents will!
