And You Thought You Had A Weight Problem

When Carolyn and I were at the National Zoo in D.C. last Friday, we watched three different elephants walk across their massive scale. A little elephant went across it, followed by a larger elephant, followed by a massive, 9,000-pound hulk of an animal.

Nine thousand pounds!

Dag.

Here’s a little help to put that in perspective. This 9,000-pound elephant is the equivalent of:

  • Two and a quarter of my cars, which is a 1999 Chevy Malibu.
  • 1.68 times the entire starting lineup (both offense and defense) for the Super Bowl Champion Indianapolis Colts.
  • 1,200 Baby Mallorys (Mallory is one of our new church babies).
  • Over 30 Pastor Daryls.
  • About 9 or 10 of this guy:

real fat guy
