Insights & Outsights from a Guy Trying to Follow Jesus

My (Probably) Last SonRise Sermon

This morning I’m preaching what is likely to be my last sermon at SonRise Church for a while.  It’s kind of funny–my first sermon at SonRise, before I came on staff, was the week after Easter (in 2004).  My last sermon at SonRise, after leaving the staff, is also the week after Easter.

So it’s fitting that I’m preaching about the walk to Emmaus in Luke 24.  We all live there, in that time after the Resurrection, when we have to add up the parts of Jesus’ life and teachings and decide what to believe about who He is.  I’ll link to the podcast on here once it’s up.

A sad day, but full of hope for the future (sounds like a theme for a graduation speech, but oh well).
