Today was a good day.
I slept in until 9:00, which of course is always a nice way to start the day. Carolyn and I just took it easy all morning, had lunch, and went to a local softball field for some practice with her dad and some friends from church. That’s always fun! With the heat and humidity, we got worn down in only an hour and a half.
Late in the afternoon we headed to church for a cookout and Bible study. Both were great. I love hanging out with CrossWay people, and I love their earnestness in delving into Scripture. Tonight we were into the Book of Acts, learning from the early church.
The plan was for us all to go see the fireworks in Ocean City after the Bible study, but unfortunately it was postponed until tomorrow because it was too windy. Guess it’s always risky when you’re trying to do fireworks right on the ocean, with the breeze and everything. So we just hung out for about an hour, then headed home.
About 9:30, Carolyn and I enjoyed a nice little stroll through Ocean Pines. Night walks are even better than daytime walks.
Um, that’s all.
