Yesterday I went to Assateague with Daryl & John. We’re having a baptism service & fish fry there on Sunday, July 22nd, so we were there to meet with the superintendent and scope things out. This is our first official triplecord event.
We settled on having the baptisms on the ocean side. The bay water was too shallow until you go pretty far out–plus, of course, if there’s not a good wind and there’s recently been a mosquito hatching, you can’t even stand outside near the bay.
The superintendent, Scott, is a very nice and interesting guy and was extremely helpful. It was quite fascinating riding around the island with someone who knows all about it. He even knows the exact number of wild ponies on the island–136!
Being there got me really excited about the upcoming event. We just need to pray for good weather, and it’ll be an awesome afternoon!
